Raja Easa Al Gurg participates in the Roundtable conference for businesswomen

Raja Easa Al Gurg president of Dubai Business Women Council, Mrs. Fayza AL Sayyed vice president of the council and Mrs. Maryam Al Noori International Committee Affairs in charge for the council have been chosen by the World Bank to participate in the Roundtable conference which will take place from Feb. 21-24, 2006, in Washington DC at the Headquarters of the World Bank.

The purpose of the Roundtable is to exchange views among women in the region on key opportunities and challenges that women entrepreneurs face in establishing and expanding their businesses.

The outcome of the Roundtable, based on the discussions of women will be used to develop an action plan for the World Bank and International Finance Corporation for the coming two years. This action plan will then be implemented through their operation.

As a participant, Mrs. Raja Easa Al Gurg will make a presentation during the Roundtable about her business and the issues she faced as an entrepreneur and in particular as a woman entrepreneur.

The participants will include women entrepreneurs from the Middle East and North Africa Region, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, and other countries. These participants will meet the representatives of American companies interested in cooperating with companies in Middle East and North Africa.

This delegation has been chosen by the World Bank to attend the Roundtable as a result of good record in managing their businesses, and of what they have achieved from positive outcome in their work. In addition to the great role they have played in developing the business process of the Emarati Women.
