Featuring authentic Italian cuisine, there are seventeen Bice restaurants scattered throughout the world, and Bice Jeddah is the third location in the Gulf, following in the footsteps of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

"There are 3.5 million residents in Jeddah, and Bice offers a niche dining experience where guests can enjoy wonderful home-style Italian cooking in a luxurious atmosphere in keeping with Qasr al Sharq's discerning position," said Marc De Beer, General Manager for Qasr al Sharq.

In preparation for the opening in April, restaurant manager Fiorentino Conte and Italian cuisine specialist Celestino Meot have spent the last few weeks in Jeddah training Bice Jeddah staff and ensuring that the brand's recipes are prepared to perfection.

The service team will be fluent in Arabic and English, and specially trained in communication skills. All restaurant staff receive theoretical training; in addition they are briefed as to the geographic history of Bice's recipes, and receive hands-on training for the preparation methods that go into each dish.

"We have entered the Saudi market at the correct time. Our execution of Italian cuisine is unique to the Kingdom, and service at Bice will be second to none. As the market is experiencing such tremendous growth, so are the tastes and demands of the population and expected visitors,"

said Conte.

Bice maintains cuisine authenticity and continuity around the globe; signature dishes include Bice's veal ravioli, tortellini with truffles, and a delicious combination of pasta with lobster.

"In addition to our time-proven. favourite dishes, Bice features a Chef's special choice menu each night, and we will hold different promotions each month introducing different Italian delicacies that coincide with seasonal availability. No visit to Bice need ever be the same," said Meot.

First established by the Ruggeri family as a neighborhood Italian trattoria in Milan in 1926, the restaurant blueprint has extended around the globe, and retained famous recipes that keep customers returning time and time again. The Bice Ristorante Group is still managed by the Ruggeri family and currently comprises a group of 40 restaurants, of which 17 of them keep the Bice name. The company employs 1800 people globally, and has reported annual total gross sales of USD$ 50 million.
