The first of its kind in the Middle East, the road show hosted a number of high caliber speakers from various segments of the healthcare industry, who discussed issues and solutions for healthcare imaging in the region. Guest speakers who have successfully implemented Healthcare information and imaging systems also gave live testimonials on the real results they achieved. The seminar was attended by a large number of executives and decision makers from across the Middle East.
'We are committed to the progress of digital solutions in healthcare and the adoption of state of the art imaging and information solutions in Middle East,' commented Laith Bazzoui, Middle East Area Manager of Kodak's Health Group. 'In order to support this progress we have brought experts from across the healthcare industry to speak at our seminars to demonstrate the complete solutions available and share their experiences with the key Bahraini Healthcare representatives.'
Several presentations were given about the latest Digital Capture solutions as well as Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), the world standards for Diagnostic Monitors, and the ultimate networking solutions.
Attendees were very interested to learn about the cost savings and the productivity enhancements that could be achieved by implementing digital Healthcare Information and imaging systems solutions.
Known for their innovative, progressive solutions, Kodak have this year introduced several new systems to the Middle East, adding to their already strong portfolio. The digital road show will see Kodak showcase a variety of equipment from their portfolio, including:
KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR975 System, the new top-of-the-line multi-cassette CR system, which is a workflow leader marrying image quality enhancements - in the form of new noise suppression algorithms and optional 50 micron scanning - with a reliable design that allows the system to operate even during network and power failures.
Kodak Point-of-Care CR Sytems, a newly launched range of mobile CR solutions ideal for specialty applications.
KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR7500 System, offering the ultimate in flexibility, enabling medical facilities of any size to configure a digital x-ray solution that meets their individual space, application, workflow and budget requirements. It features a unique wall stand capable of three-axis movement to capture a wide range of upright, horizontal and cross-table projections. The system also features a fixed, elevating table with four-way float that provides flexible patient positioning. Auto-positioning capability moves the equipment to predefined positions with a press of a button.
KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR3000 System, a new multi-purpose digital radiography (DR) platform, is a works-in-progress solution with a motorized, floor-mounted U-arm design, which will be able to perform a variety of general radiography exams including those with cross-table positions.
KODAK CARESTREAM Solutions are complete image and information systems that enhance communication of patient data across the continuum of care. These solutions, which include KODAK CARESTREAM Radiology Solutions and KODAK CARESTREAM Information Management Solutions, are designed to improve care delivery, patient safety and efficiency while delivering cost savings for radiology departments, healthcare organizations and communities.
The digital road show will take the Kodak Seminars to Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar over the next week.
