Etisalat introduces 'Ahlan' mobile package for visitors to UAE

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation- Etisalat- has introduced a new mobile package aimed at tourists and short-term visitors to the UAE.

The 'Ahlan' visitor mobile package gives the UAE visitors the convenience of instant mobile communication for a period of 90 days staring from the date of subscription, after which it cannot be renewed. 'Ahlan' comes pre-loaded with free talk time for 90 minutes of national calls and 9 SMS messages, along with Missed Call Notification and Call Waiting. Customers of this package can make the first three-minute phone call free of charge to any International destination.

Mohammed Al Fahim, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Etisalat, said:

"With the UAE's booming growth in the number of tourists and visitors, we at Etisalat see this as an ideal gesture of welcome. We hope to enable tourists and visitors to feel at home and benefit from our unmatched communication network. This package also provides the convenience of instant communication for visitors who would otherwise need to roam with their SIM card from their home country."


The Ahlan visitor mobile package is available at all Etisalat Business Centers, Etisalat Kiosk at Dubai International Airport and at Dubai Duty Free. In the future, this pack will also be available at all the major airports, petrol stations, and other major retail outlets.

Customers can recharge their Ahlan accounts using the regular Wasel Red and Wasel Green recharge cards of AED 25 and AED 40 respectively. Most options that prepaid mobile users enjoy for topping up credit on their mobiles are also applicable on the Ahlan visitor mobile package.
