  • Saudi Arabia: Tuesday, February 21 - 2006 at 14:58
  • PRESS RELEASE

According to the latest report published by IDC on the Middle East notebook market, Toshiba is firmly in the lead across the region and has grown by over 160 per cent over the same period last year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - a staggering 53 per cent over average market growth.

Samer Sayed, Sales and Marketing Manager, Toshiba Computer Systems Division for Saudi Arabia attributes this phenomenal growth to several reasons but points out the company's excellent services and product reputation as well as its ability to adapt to the local market and to collaborate with a financially strong and reputable network of partners.

"Toshiba's results are all down to the team's continuous effort in Saudi Arabia. We now have a dedicated focus for the Kingdom which allowed us to work on innovating our local sales and marketing strategies and to develop a solid channel network which reaches both consumers and businesses of all sizes in the most efficient manner,"

comments Sayed.

"I can confidently say that we have reached our targets and these results stand us in good stead to sustain this growth through to 2006. I am certain that Toshiba has all the ingredients to capitalise on this new found strength thanks to relentless customer activities in collaboration with out local channel partners."

Toshiba plans to maintain this leadership with a focus on the SMB segment via innovative channel programmes and activities. "We plan to continue the good work we have been doing with our partners and make sure that they share our success by treating them as part of our extended team" concludes Sayed.

For 2006, Toshiba plans to maintain this leadership with a focus on its two main technology strands - the Qosmio and Easyguard, respectively for the consumer and the business market.
