Oil up on supply fears

Oil prices shot up by more than $1 a barrel Tuesday on renewed fears of supply disruptions following attacks on pipelines in Nigeria. Militants, who want more control of the Niger Delta's vast oil wealth, have threatened to attack any ships transporting crude from the country. US light crude gained $1.27 a barrel to $61.15.
