BMW re-launches innovative online training academy

BMW Group Middle East has re launched its Academy website, one of the most innovative training initiatives to be undertaken by any automotive manufacturer.

Through an interactive portal the BMW Academy website offers BMW dealers across the region: a course calendar, an online booking facility, self study material, online tests and a means of tracking Sales Executives progress as they complete the training program.

Guenther Seemann, Managing Director, BMW Group Middle East, said: "Our vision and target is to equip and train our sales teams to reach the optimum level in their knowledge of the BMW Group brands.

"By employing the latest technologies and systems, in the online training academy, we can provide the support needed to bring out the best in our sales teams."


Utilising the website, Sales managers can book their Sales Executives onto the BMW Middle East training courses and get immediate confirmation that the booking has been accepted. The booking is automatically listed in the Sales Executive's online course calendar and the Sales Executives are notified about the booking.

The website gives the Sales Executives access to self study material and online tests so that they can update, refresh and test their product knowledge. Sales Managers can track the progress of the Sales Executives as they undertake the activities and assessments. The training material and online assessments provided by the website are additional to more traditional training undertaken through the year.

"The Academy website is only one part of the training program BMW Sales Executives undergo. The online training completes the face to face training conducted throughout the year." Seemann said.
