- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, February 23 - 2006 at 12:58
- PRESS RELEASE
Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital technology, today launched its advanced range of 'Prestige' series air conditioners (ACs) in the Middle East market.
Mr. S. Y. Kim, Senior Manager, Home Appliances division, Samsung Gulf Electronics (SGE) said: "By building air-conditions that have self cleanliness and monitoring capabilities of room healthiness, we ensure that our customers' health is protected. The new 'Prestige' series air-conditions is built with customers' health in mind."
The new air conditioners are embedded with Digital 'i' technology, which is a large circular LED (light emitting diode) display that allows consumers to monitor the 'health' of the room in terms of current operation mode, power and the room temperature all at a glance.
In addition to Digital 'i', the new air conditioners are equipped with bionizers and the Silver Nano Health System - Evaporator and filter, to prevent propagation of fungus and bacteria. To deliver fresh air, it is essential not only to purify the air but also maintain the cleanliness within the air conditioner, as they are an ideal place for molds.
If no counter measures are taken, molds will propagate and the air conditioner starts to produces air with an unpleasant odour. "To counter that, Samsung air conditioners come equipped with Samsung Bionizer Air Purifying System that provides the freshest and cleanest air," explained Mr. Kim
Along with Digital 'i' and bionizers, Samsung's new air conditioners are equipped with a dehumidification function that allows consumers to reduce humidity while maintaining room temperature to consumers' preferences.
Mr. Robin Kadyan, Sales & Marketing Manager, Home Appliances division, SGE said: "Samsung develops technologies that protect the health of consumers and design which complement the interior décor. With this new range of air-conditions, we are bringing these technological breakthroughs from our labs directly to our consumers' living room. Health, for us, is a key factor."
Furthermore, with a touch of a button, consumers can preset a Samsung air conditioner to automatically adjust the room temperature, without worrying about the air-conditioning getting too cold or warm during the night. As the sleep mode is automatically turned off after 6 hours, it ensures that users get good quality sleep at night.
"The new, enhanced Air conditioner line-up coupled with the product range enhancements that we plan to introduce in 2006, will give a significant boost to our market position in Middle East," Mr Kadyan concluded.
