The event, a CIO to CIO Roundtable held in Dubai, UAE, was organized to provide attendees with global perspectives on the changing role of the CIO and the growing need for return on IT investments by organizations across the world.

"When I travel to different parts of the world to share my own experiences as a CIO who is working to transform a US$ 4 billion company, I hear the same shared concerns among the CIOs I meet - how do I reduce operational risks, how do I better manage operating and capital costs while maximizing gain from the IT investments, and how do I improve IT service delivery," said Kern. "The more complex the IT environment becomes, the greater the risk of failure and the more costly it becomes to manage. This gave me an opportunity to share CA's EITM vision, a process-driven approach that is comprised of people, process and technology, and a chance to discuss with UAE-based CIOs best practices on how to gain the most value from their IT environments."

Enterprise IT Management (EITM) is CA's vision for unifying and simplifying the management of enterprise-wide IT through an integrated, automated and secure approach. EITM enables management across the entire enterprise - including storage, systems, networks, applications, databases and security - to allow enterprise organizations to manage from the business process all the way down to the assets that support and the users that consume those business processes.

"CA's EITM vision is a more proactive and policy & process driven approach; it enables customers to better manage risk, manage costs, improve service and align their IT investments with the needs of the organization and its business goals," said Gilbert Lacroix, VP and Area Manager at CA for Central/Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle East & Africa. "The CIO to CIO Roundtable was organized for our top customers to help them realize the true capabilities of CA's EITM vision by delivering the expertise, best practices and tools to transform the way they do business."
