The project was completed on time and budget and added a new value to the bank's stakeholders and employees by involving employees and managers from various departments in the decisions making of identifying, analyzing, and improving the various management and operational processes and procedures thus knowing more about processes complete cycles. The bank chose BEAT's K2.NET technology to automate the workflow of its banking processes and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server for utilizing the collaboration power of Intranets.

"The effectiveness of business is determined by making the right decision, and these business decisions are dependent on having access to the right information. This project is the first of many introduced at the bank in order to achieve strategic efficiency as we plan to leverage the various business process management tools and solutions to convert operational effectiveness into sustained competitive advantage. Moreover, working a young passionate and growing company such as BEAT was a pleasant and positive experience to our bank and we will continue working with them due to their flawless track record and their superior continuous support" comments Omar Yacoub, CIO of Cairo Amman Bank.

"The bank's choice landed on K2.NET due to the many added values it brings especially in the areas of seamless integration with the various backend systems in general and Microsoft backend and front-end current invested technologies at the bank" added Mr. Yacoub.

"In addition to the cost savings we've gained from incorporating and installing K2.NET at the bank, and the easiness of collaboration, we felt that we have already made the investment in technologies Microsoft provides. Going with K2.NET was the rational choice to make to utilize the existing learning experience of the staff in the various Microsoft technologies. Its integration with the HR backend systems for instance could've been a daunting task for other vendors and because K2.NET is based on the same technologies Microsoft provides the end result of the integration was a success" Mr. Yacoub added. "The reporting tools that are provided by K2.NET and the accessibility of the digitized processes from the bank's intranet that were provided and customized by BEAT, in addition to the integration with the bank's email exchange server among many other technologies, is only the tip of the iceberg that K2.NET could provide to organizations like our bank".

"The end result of the "Auto-CAB" project was to provide and equip management with the right information and tools so they respond to the various evolving conditions in real-time" said Mohab Murrar. "We aimed at putting the right information at the fingertips of the people who need it the most to help them make faster scientific decisions. In addition, we now see in real life examples that this project has helped the bank to truly streamline various operations and save time and money through better control, efficiency, and enhanced productivity" concluded Mohab Murrar, CEO and Partner of BEAT.

Project "Auto-CAB" consisted primarily of Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 for the portal services (Intranet) and K2.net 2003 Server for the workflow engine and SQL 2000 for the backend database. Moreover, the solution used components built using the .NET framework and Web Services to integrate with the bank's backend systems in addition to ADO.NET XML-based technology.
