ACCPAC launches India operations

ACCPAC International, Inc., a subsidiary of Computer Associates (NYSE: CA), announced today that it has opened operations in India, giving ACCPAC a physical presence in this emerging market.
ACCPAC India's immediate focus is on expanding its partner channel to leverage ACCPAC's end-to-end e-business management applications, including ACCPAC Advantage Series, ACCPAC Pro Series, and ACCPAC eCRM. ACCPAC India will also offer Simply Accounting, ACCPAC's small-business accounting product, a version of which has been specially developed for sale in India.
"India is an important, emerging market," said ACCPAC President and CEO, David M. Hood. "Establishing a presence in Bangalore strengthens our ability to serve our existing customers and address new market opportunities."
