Prysmian Cables & Systems makes special awards to agents at the Middle East Electricity 2006 exhibition

The company followed this philosophy for years under its previous Pirelli Cables & Systems brand, and will continue to give value to its partners under the new Prysmian brand, as the company considers this to be a key element for on-going business success.

'In line with this philosophy, we created a special award for our most consolidated distributors in the Middle East,' said Tom Roberts, Commercial Manager, Prysmian Dubai. 'Out of our network of fourteen agents and stock distributors throughout the Middle East, we were delighted to award Awazi Gargash, our Dubai agent, and Elenco, our Abu Dhabi agent, in recognition of their cooperation and contribution to the outstanding success of our operation in the Middle East.'

The awards were presented at the recent Middle East Electricity 2006 exhibition which took place at Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 5-8 February. The awards were presented to Mr. Jabbar of Awazi Gargash and Mr. Khamel of Elenco by Tom Roberts, Commercial Manager, Prysmian Dubai.

Prysmian's participation at the Middle East Electricity 2006 exhibition showcased its new corporate branding along with a full product range of power cables and systems. This included low, medium and high voltage cables and accessories, cables for industrial applications (such as offshore, pilot, railway and shipboard cables) and submarine energy systems.

'We have been exhibiting at Middle East Electricity for many years,' said Roberts.

'We regard the event as the most important trade show for power related products in the region, and plan to continue our investment in the exhibition to further consolidate our relationship with our customers and to continue strengthening our presence in the market by developing additional business in this highly dynamic market.'
