AUST Network Faculty of Engineering participates in charity support for Pakistan earthquake victims

Ajman University of Science and Technology Network (AUST) has participated in the Open Charity Day organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage and Culture Authority in cooperation with the Pakistan Embassy to support Pakistanis affected by the earthquakes.

Held at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Center under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the charity support has inspired much enthusiasm from people of different walks of life.

'Our participation in the charity campaign comes as part of the university's philosophy to contribute to its community,' said Dr Saba Mushatat, Head of the Engineering section of AUST Network.

The Engineering Faculty participated by showcasing their interior design products- heritage furniture - during the Charity Day. The designs were made by the students under the supervision of Dr Seddiqa Abdul Shakoor.

Dr Mushatat said that the money obtained from selling the products will be transferred to the earthquake sufferers in cooperation with the Pakistani Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
