The annual charity event aims to mobilise resources to support charitable organisations in Sharjah. This year, the main beneficiaries are the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SHC) and the Sharjah Old People's Home (SOPH).

The donation is expected to help both the SHC and the SOPH enhance their services for the physically challenged and the elderly. The leading shopping and entertainment centre in Sharjah has also enlisted the support of its tenants and shoppers in the hope of mobilising additional resources for the annual charity event.

Sahara Centre has actively supported charitable initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility program. On a regular basis, the mall conducts promotional activities that benefit various sectors of society. One of its most successful promotions last year included six scholarship give-aways to lucky children who visited the mall during the back-to-school promotion.

Sahara Centre's involvement in the forthcoming Charity Bazaar underscores the mall's commitment to addressing the welfare needs of the community where it belongs. General Manager Dean John is pleased with Sahara Centre's participation in the bazaar and said: "We are privileged to be given the opportunity to serve the community. The donation represents our commitment to establishing goodwill within the community where we do business."

"We are very thankful to Sahara Centre for the generosity and commitment it has shown in ensuring the project's success. It has not only contributed financially, but has also been instrumental in soliciting further support from its shoppers and tenants,"

said Ibrahim Lawson, Principal, School of Creative Science. "Their donation will bring joy and hope to the beneficiaries Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and the Sharjah Old People's Home.

Dean also added that Sahara Centre's community welfare projects would intensify further with the launch of its youth group, the Sahara Centre Goodwill Ambassadors.

The group is composed of young and talented youth leaders who will represent Sahara Centre in its various in-mall programs and community-related activities that will inspire young people to become involved in community-enhancing initiatives.

Additionally, Sahara Centre has, through its various entertainment facilities, played host to a number of educational field trips for children with special needs.
