Burgan Bank, Kuwait's up and coming technology bank, announced today the deployment of ACI's Base 24 ATM switching software to add more firepower to it's already considerable IT superstructure.
The Bank has reached the last phase of completely overhauling of all it's IT and support systems since late 1999, that included a brand new banking system by adopting another world best of breed relational database and end to end banking software. In 2001, in anticipation of Internet growth, a major Hitachi data storage system solution, with multiple Raid configurations, was commissioned to support disk mirroring and remote copy capabilities.
This foundation allowed Burgan to quickly introduce all new Internet Banking services from BeeeBank.com, with recent additions like the BeeClear e-payment gateway, Stock Exchange online settlement, the successful online prepaid Internet and mobile phone cards store that now offers Kuwaits' public 7 ways of accessing the Internet. New mobile ATM units, one of which now directly serves the students at Kuwait University all year round and the introduction of new branches at the Kuwait International airport shopping mall project.
The considerable IT firepower that Burgan Bank now has at it's disposal, means new exciting products and services that customers want, delivered on time, better and improved customer service levels all round, and the ability to keep pace with the speed of technological change.
Burgan Bank's vision and mission is to be the best financial services provider with the most efficient distribution channels and to bring quality in all its services and offerings.
