This conference is held at an important time, given the vast technological developments and huge spread of satellite TV channels. It will discuss many issues related to TV channels, parents' role in educating children about best watching methods, educational institutions' responsibility to inform students on how best to deal with TV channels, as well as other important society-related issues.
Ms Aisah Saeed Al Dhaab Al Naimi, Chairperson of MCADEZ, has praised Sheikha Fatima's role in sponsoring all the Council's activities. She also praised Etisalat's initiative in supporting this event and said: "Etisalat has become an ideal example of how our local corporations support social events and activities. We truly appreciate Etisalat's initiative."
"Holding focused conferences and seminars bring many benefits to the society. In this respect, MCADEZ has played an effective role in conducting surveys and holding debates aimed at strengthening relations between school and society. Such initiatives need the support of local corporations."
Etisalat's support to this event reflects the Corporation's social responsibility strategy to support various activities and events. This strategy cements the Corporation's relation with the society. In this respect, Etisalat has sponsored over 35 events in 2005.
Ahmed Bin Ali, Manager Corporate Communications, Etisalat, praised the hard work and achievements of MCADZ in serving the society. He said that the "UAE Family in the Globalization Era" will be of benefit to huge segments of UAE's society as it covers many current issues related to TV satellite channels, which have become a part of daily life.
