Grand Hyatt Dubai appoints new members to the executive committee

Hyatt International have appointed several new members to the executive committee.
Due to the recent promotion of Alexander Pichel as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, Ashwini Kumar has been appointed Resident Manager. Ashwini gained over 16 years of experience within Hyatt International. Indian national, Ashwini started his career with Oberoi in Saudi Arabia and joined Hyatt Regency Dubai in 1989, where he held various management positions. In 2004 he was promoted to Director of Rooms Grand Hyatt Dubai.
Upon Ashwini Kumar's promotion, Hyatt International have appointed Christoph Karl Franzen, Swiss national, Director of Rooms. Christoph is not new to Hyatt nor Dubai, as he has gained experience at Hyatt Regency Dubai as Front Office Manager and as Director of Rooms at Park Hyatt Moscow.

As Kathi Khogaly has been appointed Resident Manager for Hyatt Regency Dubai, Paul Murphy succeeded and has been promoted Director of Events. Paul joined Grand Hyatt Dubai in 2004, as Director of Catering. He has gained vast experience in Australia with Starwood, as Director of Catering for Westin and as Director of Food and Beverage with Marriner Group.
Eric Weber joined Grand Hyatt Dubai in December 2005 as Executive Assistant Manager. Eric, a Swiss national, has gained broad experience in various five star hotels. The graduate from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne has gained experience at several Mandarin Oriental and Peninsula group properties throughout the Far East. Prior to joining Grand Hyatt Dubai, he was working at The Oriental in Bangkok as Food and Beverage Manager.
Dorothée Ulrichs is the newly appointed Marketing and Communications Manager at Grand Hyatt Dubai. Dorothée has held various management positions within Al Jazeera International, CNN International and CNBC Europe. She has been working as a Consultant for Al Jazeera International and gained a broad experience as Director of Distribution for CNBC Europe, covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. German national, with a strong educational background in Media Information Management, she decided to take up this new assignment in October 2005 at Grand Hyatt Dubai.
