Bayt.com's one-day seminars aim to provide the inside track on what prospective employers look for in the perfect candidate, and advice on how to make the best impression in an interview.

The courses are aimed at all levels of the professional job market, including young graduates looking for their first career break, people already in employment seeking a fresh challenge, and out-of-work professionals.

Rabea Ataya, CEO of Bayt.com, said: "Research shows that jobseekers who understand how to compile a proper CV, communicate professionally with employers, and conduct themselves confidently in an interview stand a far greater chance of securing their chosen career than jobseekers who rely on persistence alone."

Recent Bayt.com research shows the demand for skilled guidance. In an online survey of employers, 42.9 per cent of those questioned said candidates at interviews must 'brush up' on their soft skills, while 35.7 per cent said the jobseekers they interview need 'dramatic' improvement in their soft skills.

Experts responsible for training corporate HR managers deliver the Bayt.com seminar 'A Complete Guide to A Successful Job Hunt'. It offers insights into increasing valuable contacts in the job market, researching available jobs to streamline the application process, and maximising the impact of a CV and covering letter. The one-day course also outlines the common mistakes of unsuccessful candidates.

Ataya added:

"Countless jobseekers send untitled, blanket emails to employers who don't suit their profile or even have vacancies. Poor planning and presenting oneself in the wrong way can do your job search more harm than good. Bayt.com delivers the best advice from the professionals on how to boost the odds of securing an interview with the company of your choice."

Bayt is conducting its training in association with leading professional training company ProTraining. Split into four sessions, Bayt.com's job hunt seminar uses a specialist 'Life Coach' to help define career goals and the secrets of achieving maximum fulfilment in one's professional and personal life.

The trainers presenting the material have a combined total of more than 50 years' experience working in the region and international markets. Bayt.com's second one-day interactive seminar addresses the challenge of job interviews, sharing specialist techniques in negotiating the short-listing process and ultimately securing a job offer.

The 'All You Need to Know About Interviews' seminar teaches students how to make the best first impression, sound confident in question and answer sessions, and skillfully deal with salary negotiations.

Ataya added: "Bayt.com's consultants offer objective training using proven research to help candidates help themselves in interview situations. These seminars add a new dimension to the boutique of 'lifestyle engineering' services already offered by Bayt.com. Unlike many courses on the market which are tailored to corporate clients, they also address the individual jobseeker."

Bayt.com's one-day seminars are priced at US$299 per person. The first training will start in Dubai in March, and there are plans to roll out the seminars in regional markets later.

Founded in 2000, Dubai-based Bayt.com has offices in 10 Middle East cities: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Manama, Doha, Kuwait City, Amman, and Islamabad.

The region's largest recruitment and career planning company has a database of more than one million users, mostly from around the GCC but also North America and Europe, and an employer archive of more than 20,000 companies.
