Enhanced family & friends packages demonstrating Batelco's commitment to its customers

Batelco is responding to its customers' wishes and building on the huge success of its Family & Friends service by offering enhanced benefits to all mobile customers when phoning pre-selected local and IDD (International Direct Dial) numbers.

The popular service, launched in 2004, originally offered Prepaid SimSim Shabab customers discounts of 5 per cent when phoning one IDD number of their choosing and 15 per cent discount on two local numbers. The original deal also offered postpaid customers 5 per cent discount to two pre-selected IDD numbers.

In demonstrating its unrivalled commitment to customers, Batelco has made the Family & Friends packages more attractive than before by including more mobile users and increasing the number of IDD numbers allowed under the existing scheme as well as giving greater discounts.

"Prepaid SimSim Shabab customers will be able to assign two international numbers instead of the previous one international number and enjoy a discount of 8 per cent, increased from the original 5 per cent." said Batelco Head of Corporate Affairs Ahmed Al Janahi.

"Postpaid customers will also benefit from a discount of 8 per cent, increased from 5 per cent and will be able to pre-select three IDD numbers instead of the previous two," he added.

The enhanced scheme is offered to the following mobile packages:-
• Prepaid SimSim Shabab
• All postpaid packages

"Batelco is continuously offering free minutes and special promotions to mobile customers as part of its efforts to meet customers' needs," explained Mr Al Janahi.

SimSim Shabab customers will continue receiving a discount of 15 per cent when phoning two pre-selected local numbers and continue to receive significant discounts on calls made to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, The Philippines and Sri Lanka.

Customers can change their pre-selected numbers after 30 days at a nominal charge of 200 fils which will appear on their next month's bill or be deducted from their available call credit.

New customers can register free of charge by SMS or by phoning 196 from their mobile and following the voice instructions. Existing customers can also register their additional numbers through SMS or by phoning 196. Their existing numbers will automatically benefit from the new eight percent discount.

There are no monthly charges for this service.
