"The regional projector market is buoyant and we are seeing a rise in demand for DLP (Digital Light Processing) projection technology that integrates portability and performance. More and more businesses are turning to compact, lightweight projectors that offer convenience, mobility and clarity. We will continue to stay abreast of the latest technology and maintain close toes with our distribution channels to reinforce our channel presence," said Manish Bakshi, general manager, BenQ Middle East.
"The Al Otaiba Group has invaluable market knowledge as well as expertise on the services side; this will help us make inroads into our focus segments. Together, we will focus on delivering state of the art products and value-added services in the UAE,"
Bakshi added.
BenQ is revolutionising its range of digital display technology and advanced projection systems and will launch a number of new models this year. The new product lineup will feature the company's proprietary Sense-Eye technology that dramatically improves picture quality.
Terming the partnership as an exciting opportunity, Dinesh Sharma, General Manager Office Equipment Division, Mohammed Hareb Al Otaiba said, "The consumer technology market is booming in the Middle East, and with technology changing all the time, it shows no signs of slowing. In the Gulf region, demand for technology products is growing at an annual rate of over 15 per cent, compared to 10 per cent in Europe. In a short period of time, BenQ has transformed the consumer electronics segment. We are impressed with their marketing activities and the support they offer us in terms of training and customer service support and look forward to working with them."
The tie up with BenQ will help the Al Otaiba Group expand its office automation product portfolio.
