Farouk Hemraj, CEO and co-founder of Distree Events, said,
"We are pleased with the response from our first event last year and have already received registration and interest not just from vendors to be a part of this conference this year but also from key retail partners around the region."
Distree Events facilitate networking and business opportunities between vendors and their channel partners. Each Distree event is an-invitation only conference for channel partners where each invitee gets a special log in and password which they use to go online to check the profiles of the vendors attending the conference, select which vendor boardroom presentation they would like to attend, and pre-book their one to one meetings.
DCC MEA will also have industry experts delivering their analysis on several key issues in addition to special workshops and debates on current issues facing the local channel. This year DCC has attracted the interest not only of most of the vendors from the first event but also a few select vendors who missed the opportunity last year.
DCC MEA will provide the same opportunities for vendors and select retailers during the course of 3 days when vendors and retailers will be able to network with each other in a relaxed environment while focusing on business.
"We had invited select vendors to visit the conference on one select day to experience the conference first hand and most of them have expressed an interest to return this year," pointed Hemraj.
The first Digital Consumer Channel for the region was held in May 2005 and drew support from 43 vendors such as AMD, HP, Acer and Toshiba and 120 top retail executives from Carrefour, Grand Stores and Virgin Mega Store to name a few.
