Canadian tourism delegation calls on bin Sulayem

A Canadian delegation led by Mr. Bill Allen, Deputy Minister at the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, called on the Director General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem, at the DTCM Head Office to explore the potential for promoting tourism travel between Dubai and Ontario, the second biggest province of Canada.

The other team members were Mr. Joel Noden, Senior Director, The Niagara Parks Commission, Mr. Bill Knowlton, Vice President, Jonview Canada, Ms. Roseanne Longo, Vice President, Tourism Toronto and Ms. Carol Maxwell, Director of Overseas Marketing, Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation.

Also present during the meeting was the DTCM Manager Missions, Mr. Hamad bin Mejrin.
During the four-day visit, the Canadian delegation had site visits to some of Dubai's spectacular tourist facilities in addition to their tour of other places in the UAE.

The team members exchanged views on areas and opportunities for cooperation between Dubai and Ontario, one of Canada's 10 provinces which accounts for 40 % of the total population of Canada.
