Specialist international consultants appointed for multi-billion dollar Energy City Qatar project

MZ & Partners, the lead architects for Energy City Qatar, today announced the signing of strategic agreements with Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) and Parsons International Limited (Parsons) for the multi-billion dollar Energy City Qatar project.

Under these agreements, ACE has been retained as sub consultant for the infrastructure works and Parsons as a design sub consultant to carry out the traffic impact study for Energy City Qatar.

Energy City Qatar is designed as the Middle East's first integrated energy business centre for the global oil and gas industry. It will be developed through strong regional and global partnerships, enhancing the flow of inward investment into Qatar and the region, further progressing the economic diversification process being undertaken. The first phase of the Energy City Qatar was announced recently, involving an investment of US$1.6 billion.

Over the past 50 years, ACE has played a central role in shaping and pioneering engineering practices in the Middle East. Throughout its history, ACE has maintained its leadership throughout the Middle East and Arabian Gulf through continuous innovation and by providing quality consulting in engineering and architecture, while maintaining a learning environment at the company. Some of the key projects that ACE has partnered with in the region include Jeddah Touristic City, Madinat Yanbu R1 and R2 Community and Dhahran Land Use Master Plan, all located in Saudi Arabia. Other major endeavours are Durrat Al Mukkallah Development in Yemen and Palm Island Infrastructure in Dubai.

Founded in 1944, Parsons is a leader in diverse markets, including infrastructure, transportation, water, telecommunications, aviation, commercial, environmental, planning, industrial manufacturing, education, healthcare, life sciences and homeland security. Parsons provides technical and management solutions to federal, regional and local government agencies as well as private industries worldwide. Some of the key projects that Parsons has partnered with in Qatar include the Pearl Qatar and the Doha Expressway.
