Excavation work on Armada Group's AED2.7M furniture factory in Jebel Ali completed

The Armada group, leading real estate developers and property investment organization the UAE, recently completed excavation works of its AED2.7-million furniture factory located at Jebel Ali Free Zone Zone as a part of its diversification move.
The excavation works were executed by Al-Merkaz Construction Company which also completed all the pilling and infrastructure-related works for the unit. The factory, built on a total area of 65,000 sq.ft, will be ready for production in a record time of 12 months.
The Al-Zamil Steel Industries has been awarded an AED1.2-million contract to erect the steel structure for the factory. This will be concluded within a four-month period. The furniture factory will begin operations by December 2006 and will employ 200 workers.
"The factory will produce various household and office goods in addition to pre-fabricated wooden doors," Dr. Hakmi said and added that it will target the UAE and the GCC region besides the wider Middle East and North Africa markets.
"The Armada Group has already completed several construction projects in the UAE and is now in the process of diversifying its portfolio to encompass more sectors in the coming months," added Dr. Hakmi.
