Kuwait flies to Salalah

Recently the first flight of Kuwait Airways landed in scenic Salalah where there was a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and the passengers. The inaugural flight cooincided with the annual Salalah Autumn Festival.

Salalah is the current capital of Thafar governorate, which overlooks the Arabian Sea and is influenced by the seasonal winds coming from the Indian ocean , thus encompassing its coastal valleys and mountains with clouds and fog and immersing its terrain with rain and mist.

Salalah is simply beautiful during the Autumn Festival, which coincides with the summer season in the Gulf region, a prime factor that attracts Gulf residents too to travel to Salalah for a cool holiday, while temperatures hit high in their own countries.

The Autumn Festival is just the right time for tourists to visit Salalah. Amidst the best weather conditions and the people's hospitality at Thafar governorate, there is much to learn about Omani culture and traditions.

Kuwait Airways began its operation with one weekly flight but the positive results caused KU to increase its operation to two flights per week.
