Tabreed signs cool deal with Al Hamid Group

  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 05 - 2006 at 15:05
  • PRESS RELEASE

Tabreed, UAE's award-winning district cooling pioneer, has signed with the Abu Dhabi-headquartered Al Hamid Group to provide cooling services for their Al Noor Private Hospital, which represents the Group's first foray into the healthcare sector.

The four-storeyed Al Noor Private Hospital, which is Tabreed's third healthcare sector project in Abu Dhabi, after Zayed Military City Hospital and Al Khaleej Hospital in Al Ain, is scheduled for completion later this year.

Explaining the decision to choose Tabreed for the hospital's cooling requirements, Mohsen Farhan, Projects Director, Al Hamid Group said: "Al Noor Private Hospital will be one of the most state-of-the-art and modern hospitals in Abu Dhabi. While considering the cooling requirements for this facility we wanted to use the best energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly technology available.

"Tabreed, with its long experience in cooling healthcare complexes and excellent post installation services was an obvious choice for us."

This win comes on the heels of the recent formation of Saudi Tabreed, which marks the company's entry into the GCC's largest construction market.

"The Al Noor Private Hospital win consolidates our market leading position in Abu Dhabi and is an important addition to our healthcare sector project portfolio," said Tabreed's CEO, Dany Safi.

District cooling is now widely used throughout the UAE and has been used around the world since it was invented in the late 1800's, piping chilled water from a centralised plant to a range of residential, commercial and government buildings. Landlords are attracted to the maintenance-free, economic and environmentally friendly cooling benefits of the technology, while tenants enjoy reduced ambient noise and better temperature control in their homes, making it the perfect solution for all cooling requirements.
