H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, presented the Human Resources Development Award in banking to Dubai Islamic Bank.
Saad Abdul Razak, DIB's Chief Executive Officer, said:

This prestigious award is a confirmation of the success of the bank's strategy, for it reveals the outcomes of our significant efforts directed towards investing in human capital and enhancing their role in the banking industry."
DIB's participation in the Eighth National Careers Exhibition is a result of the bank's quest to support emiratisation policies and attract more UAE Nationals into the banking industry in general and the Islamic financing sector in specific. Furthermore, DIB will be honouring employees who have served with the bank for 20 years or more they are Obiad Nasir Lotah, Ahmed Abdulla Arif, Mnsoor Abdulla AlAwathi, Abdulnasir Mohammed Alzaree, Abdulrazaq Abdulla Ibrahim Jasim Mohammed Rasool, Ali Khaleel Al Sayiq.
The bank aims through its innovative career development programmes to enhance its role in expanding the knowledge base of banking in general and Islamic banking in particular among Nationals. The continuous efforts and developmental programmes provided over the past years by the bank have contributed to the high level of skills in the industry.
The National Careers Exhibition aims to encourage banks and financial institutions to invest in national talent in the rapidly growing economic environment of the UAE.
DIB enjoys one of the highest emiratisation levels in the banking sector, thanks to its innovative initiatives to attracting national cadres into the industry. In addition to such initiatives, DIB currently provides several courses that assist in developing its national employees. The courses include English Banking Skills, Customer Service skills, and many others. Furthermore, DIB provides of a number of job development programmes in which prestigious international and local consultancy firms contribute.
