The delegation met Mr. Lee Joui-ha, Assistant Director General of China Post and discussed a wide range of issues, including money transfer, speed post, parcels and mail transit hub.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Lee expressed pleasure at the improving postal relations between UAE and China and underlined the need for further cooperation in different areas.

The two sides signed a cooperation agreement for boosting parcel services, Mumtaz and money transfer. They also discussed the scope for China Post to use Emirates Post's Mail Transit Hub at Dubai airport for distribution of mail to regional countries. It was decided to set up two teams on either side to track the progress of the cooperation agreement.

Mr. Al Shaya said the visit was timely as there are many Chinese living and doing business in the UAE, and Emirates Post would like to serve this community by introducing specific products and services.

The delegation visited the sorting centre of China Post in Beijing as well as the state of the art printing press that prints postal stamps. The delegation was briefed on the advanced features of the printing press.
