The MoU was signed between the Department's Chairman, HE Khalfan Ghaith Al Muhairbi and Injazat Data Systems' Chief Executive Officer, Ibrahim Mohamed Lari.
HE Khalfan Ghaith Al Muhairbi commented "Abu Dhabi is witnessing unprecedented economic growth and the department needs to keep up with this rapid pace of development by providing prompt and efficient services to UAE nationals, expats, investors, entrepreneurs, local business communities, visitors and residents."
His Excellency then added: "As Abu Dhabi marches onward, entrusting our IT operations and new developments to Injazat Data Systems will help the Department of Municipalities and Agriculture to leverage the expertise of the company's pool of professionals, bringing with it advantages of speedy and improved government services to our people,"
As per the MoU, Injazat will review and assess the IT centre in the Department, providing the necessary IT-managed services and paving the road towards a long-term outsourcing agreement that includes transferring the Department's IT staff to Injazat Data Systems, which will take over the department's IT operations and jointly establish a transition governance structure. The company will also provide technical and management resources, managing the provisioning of specific IT systems and services as well as planning for the transition to delivering and managing the department's IT services.
"Injazat Data Systems is honored to team up with a government organization as prominent as the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Agriculture to manage its IT operations. We feel proud at being called upon to contribute our expertise for the development and growth of the department's IT services. We will do our best to support the department's vision by delivering world-class, professional services,"
said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari.
Since starting in February last year, Injazat Data Systems has now grown into a 260-strong team of professionals of which 40 per cent are nationals, providing IT quality managed services such as infrastructure management, service desk, application management, networking and security and consultancy to a growing number of organisations in the public and private sectors.
