OnLine Distribution and Trend Micro drive anti-virus campaign in the Middle East

OnLine Distribution is working with Trend Micro to help ensure that companies have access to these new security solutions, by helping to grow the network of outlets providing the SMB technology throughout the region.

'As part of the promotion, which runs till the end of this month, new partners will receive up to a five per cent discount on all Trend Micro security solutions orders placed with Online Distribution,' said Sushma Kajaria, sales manager in the Security Business Unit at OnLine Distribution.

'We recognise the key role the channel plays in protecting businesses in the Middle East by creating awareness of this new campaign, and ensuring that as many companies as possible are involved with it. As a value added distribution house, our prime responsibility is to develop and support our partners so that we build mutually beneficial relationships.'

'Trend Micro also runs a 'Worry Free' campaign which is designed to help companies combat the threats posed by viruses and malicious activity on the Web. Our research has shown that 57 percent of small businesses have encountered a rise in the level of 'phishing' (attempted data theft) in recent months, so we feel it is ideally timed,' said Ghassan Lababidi, marketing manager, Trend Micro Middle East and Africa.

'We are supporting OnLine Distribution to run both the campaigns, as our aim is to drive it as far as possible throughout the region, and reach as many small and medium sized businesses as we can,' he added.

The new promotion is valid on all SMB Trend Micro products invoiced by OnLine Distribution until 31st March 2006.
