- PRESS RELEASE
Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, Hussein Nasser Lootah, has called on the senior officials of the civic body to adopt innovation and creativity in their functioning and to promote employee participation in decision-making.
"The secret of excellence in performance of any establishment lies in working as one team. We should encourage our staff to express their views freely and put forward constructive suggestions and appreciate them for practical solutions they propose," said Mr. Lootah.
He also emphasised on the need to simplify procedures, upgrade work processes, and introduce programmes that meet needs of the public.
Members of the team, who meet every month, exchanged views on various topics related to the municipality's performance and proposed to come up with innovative suggestions for constant improvement.
The senior management team is entrusted with the task of bringing about a strategic shift in the way civic services are provided to the public. It draws up strategic plans and objectives in line with the municipality's vision and mission. Coordinating leadership efforts and ensuring that they are on the right track, the team applies best administrative and professional practices, excellence and total quality programmes, and identifies success factors and corporate performance indicators for the municipality.
