Oil steadies before Opec meet

Oil prices stabilised at around $61.50 a barrel today following two consecutive days of declines. Opec producers have indicated that the cartel will decide to keep pumping quotas at near maximum levels when it meets in Vienna, while US data is expected to show further increases in stockpiles of crude.
