Dewa invites bids for plant

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has invited bids for two packages in a new power and desalination plant which could cost in excess of $1.5bn, reported Bloomberg. The M Station will increase power generation by 2,000 megawatts and water desalination capacity by 105m gallons per day. Dewa plans to invest more than $545bn in the next ten years to lift generation capacity to more than 9,000 megawatts.
