These are the first four stroke outboard engines with digital electronic fuel injection and have been designed and built with the world's first 250 horsepower V6 four-stroke engines. The new DF150 and DF175 four stroke outboards are the most powerful four cylinder outboards ever built by Suzuki and provide the benefits of fuel efficiency and low emissions. They expand on the potential of four stroke power for marine applications by delivering powerful acceleration, quick throttle response and high speed.

"Fresh ideas, advanced technology and innovative designs keep Suzuki ahead of the competition," said Hasan El Houbi, sales and marketing manager, Auto Sport LLC. "Marine outboards are now as sophisticated as the most advanced car technology, and more so in some cases, all with the added demands of a harsh marine environment. There are several discerning customers in the Middle East region who recognise the technical prowess of Suzuki engines - we have had solid year on year growth in terms of units sold and our commitment to new and better ideas has earned us the respect of the industry and acclaim from satisfied customers."

Suzuki's DF150 and DF175 are based on a new inline four cylinder power head with the largest displacement to date in the four stroke, four cylinder category. These engines are also light and share other advanced features including a 32-bit onboard computer that monitors and controls engine functions.

"The UAE has evolved from a small consumer base into a significant manufacturer of vessels of all sizes as well as being a service and equipment provider for the burgeoning marine industry in the rest of the Middle East and Asia. The Dubai International Boat Show is the ideal platform to launch the new Suzuki engines and we look forward to an exciting event this year," said Houbi.

Suzuki provides a comprehensive range of four stroke outboard motors from 4 - 250 horsepower. The company has won a number of innovation awards in the field of fuel injected outboards and has also won a number of customer satisfaction surveys internationally.

The DF150 and DF175 will be on view at the Dubai International Boat Show that will take place from 14 - 18 March 2006 at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi.
