Saudi Arabia is to grant new mobile and fixed line licences in Q4, reported Reuters citing a statement from the CITC. This will break the fixed line monopoly of Saudi Telecom and the duopoly with Mobily for mobile phones. Saudi Arabia has 4m fixed lines and a population of 24m, leaving room for growth.
