German Gerber, takes up his new role following five years as Operations Manager at TNT Frankfurt, one of the company's largest non network hubs, where he was responsible for the processing and forwarding of 12,000 shipments per day.
'Dirk joins us with a wealth of experience and knowledge of hub operations and he will help oversee the smooth running of incoming and outgoing of freight from commercial airlines,' said Mark Pell, TNT's Managing Director, Gulf.
'He will also help forge relationships with airlines and airport handlers as well as train and develop operational staff.'
Gerber holds a BA from Germany's well known State Business School for Freight Forwarders.
