InterContinental Hotels Group's Saudi properties promote two members of staff to General Managers

InterContinental Hotels Group, the world's largest hotel operator is proud to announce the promotion of two existing members of staff in the Saudi properties.

Adel Ahmed Al Mahboob has been appointed as General Manager of New Guest Palace and Dariyyah Conference Palace, Riyadh, effective from late January 2006. Adel joined Riyadh InterContinental in 1984 after graduating from the King Saud University, Riyadh. He has held several positions ranging from sales, front office, Rooms Division Manager, Executive Asst. Manager, Resident Manger and most recently to his current position of Hotel Manager at Riyadh InterContinental.

Khalid Al Dhalaan, currently the Executive Asst. Manager at Riyadh Conference Palace, has been promoted to General Manager of Jeddah Conference Palace effective 1st January 2006. Khalid holds a bachelor degree in science from Syracuse University, New York. Khalid has worked with King Khalid University and King Abdulaziz University Hospitals as Director of Food Services and Director of Nutrition and with the Gulf Catering Company as Asst. General Manager from where he joined Riyadh Conference Palace as Asst. Food & Beverage Manager in July 1997. He was then promoted to Front Office Manager and Rooms Division Manager and to his current position of Executive Asst. Manager.
