Citrix to showcase access and security technology at GCC roadshow

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced its agenda for the upcoming roadshow in the UAE.

To be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on the 13th and 14th of March 2006, at the Al Murooj Rotana and the Beach Resort Rotana and Spa respectively, the roadshow is visiting the UAE after a highly successful run across Jeddah, Riyadh and Khobar in Saudi Arabia in early March. The major event is being held under the Gold sponsorship of Intel and IBM, as well as silver sponsors, Tally Solutions and US Telecommunication.

Announcing Citrix's latest innovations and strategies in the domain of access security and application delivery, the roadshow will be a highly informative session covering a wide range of access issues and Citrix's approach to meet the secure access needs of the region. A main highlight of the event will be the value addition of leading web application firewall, Teros, and premier web application optimization solution, Netscaler.

Founded in 2000, Teros is a market share leader in the emerging Web application firewall market and has received numerous industry awards for its innovation in both Web and XML Web services security technology. On the other hand, NetScaler accelerates the performance of Web browser-based applications and e-commerce and consumer Web sites by as much as 15 times.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Mr. Ian Cochrane, Marketing Manager, Citrix ME said: "We are focusing on key customers and organizations, in the two UAE locations of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, interested in the value Citrix can offer. The region is awakening to the needs of fast, simple and secure access to their IT resources, to overcome technical barriers and increase operational efficiency. The event will also delve in to the produce enhancements and the subsequent business benefits of the latest, Citrix Access Suite 4.2. Customers from different backgrounds including security experts, business managers and CTOs, will also be treated to an in-depth explanation on the combined benefits of security and access, and their joint impact on enhancing productivity.

Held under the sponsorship of Intel, IBM, Tally and US Telecommunication, the event will be opened by Regional Manager, Mr Antoine Aguado, followed by simple demonstrations of the benefits of Citrix, with a supporting keynote from Mr Andrew Parkinson of IBM, then followed up by customer testimonials. Addressing the afternoon technical track will be Senior Systems Engineer Nick Black and flown in for the event, Dave Austin, European Product Manager.
