The Centre for Executive Education, based in Dubai Knowledge Village, announced the launch of two highly specialized Executive Certificate programs in March 2006.

CEE has identified a shift in management thought process in the region. There is clearly a lot of emphasis now on retaining staff and managing the workforce is given prime importance.

We have launched in collaboration with the American Management Association (AMA), one of the largest management education providers in the US, programs focused to fill in the identified skill gaps. Each of the certificates is for the duration of 12 hours and requires class room attendance for 3 hours per sitting per week, unless specified.

The Compensation & Benefits program which would allow the students to determine and maintain pay levels that will attract, retain, and motivate HR; develop compensation policy guidelines that reflect the company's values and culture; meet the seven basic objectives when implementing an effective compensation plan; Integrate performance, productivity and business results into the compensation process and finally; adjust compensation plans to address a company's changing needs. The program is a must for the HR professionals and management consultants.

The second program is the Project Management certificate also in arrangement with the AMA, New York. The students will learn to set measurable project objectives and create a practical plan to achieve them; control their project's schedule, cost and scope; develop the critical skills needed to succeed as a project manager; achieve project objectives with cost-effective estimating and planning techniques; manage relationships effectively and productively across the spectrum of project stakeholders.

"The above Executive programs are first of the lot to be offered at the Centre for Executive Education and these will be followed by more specific skills certificates. The above programs are run by highly skilled facilitators with years of experience in training on the above subjects," stated Ms Kashish Batheja, Executive Manager at the Centre for Executive Education.
