Jazeera Airways Chairman and CEO, Marwan Boodai, said "The Kuwait-Syria-Kuwait travel has increased since we started flying to Damascus four months ago. This rise in demand, stimulated by our low-fares formula encouraged us to add Aleppo to our network. Aleppo is a growing center for business, industry and trade in the Levant."

Boodai added,

"On march 26 we will bring to Aleppo travelers our easy booking methods, leather seats, and brand new planes that are looked after by the global engineering services provider Lufthansa Technik".

The airline also announced that it has increased its Beirut flights from seven per week to 11 per week. The new evening flights will compliment Jazeera Airways' daily morning flights to the city. The new schedule will also commence March 26 with fares starting at KD 10.

Jazeera Airways is a brand new airline that took its first flight on October 30, 2005 from Kuwait to Dubai. It is the first private and non-subsidized airline in the Middle East.

With its entry into the market, the airline introduced low-fares air travel, 24-hour online booking and payment (through jazeeraairways.com), seat reservation at the time of booking, and sms booking - making it the fifth airline in the world and the first in the Middle East to introduce this service.

Jazeera Airways currently flies to Amman, Bahrain, Damascus, Dubai, and Beirut, and plans to expand its network to include North Africa and the Indian subcontinent following the induction of two brand new Airbus A320s to its fleet in the summer of 2006.

The airline, which recently announced it had flown more than 100,000 travelers in its first four months, currently operates two brand new Airbus A320s that were delivered in October and November of 2005. It also has confirmed orders for six additional brand new Airbus A320s to be delivered over the coming years.
