Dubai Women's College hosts World of Work conference

Dubai Women's College (DWC) today held its third annual World of Work conference which was organized by Diploma Year Two Business students as part of their curriculum requirements.
Eight organizations representing the private and public sector participated in the conference, including keynote speeches by Emirati role models Fatma Al Muhsen, Career Counselor, Tanmia on Small and Medium Enterprises, Muna Al Amimi, Branch Manager Mashreq Bank on Banking as a Career and Hend Al Ali, Emiritization and Recruitment Manager, Citibank on Emiritization and Recruitment.
A panel discussion was held with Al Futtaim Group, Hyatt International Hotels and Dubai Ports and Customs. Afternoon workshops were held by the Al Tayer Group and Sharaf Travel with the discussion centered on employment opportunities within their organizations and their expectations of Diploma graduates.
"This highly successful conference is an excellent opportunity for our industry Partners for Success to visit our campus and share their expectations with their future employees- DWC students," stated Dr. Howard Reed, Director, DWC.
"These events give employers a first hand look at what our students can do, resulting in work placement, job offers and facilitation of the Emiratization process."
