RJ transfers its operation to Charles de Gaulle
- Jordan: Monday, March 13 - 2006 at 15:58
- PRESS RELEASE
Royal Jordanian decided to transfer its operations in Paris from Orly to Charles de Gaulle, starting March 26, 2006.
CDG contains three modern terminals that offer travelers quality facilities and services. A selection of class restaurants, shops, extensive banking and currency services, business, first aid, visitor and special needs amenities, in addition to easy and speedy travel procedures are featured at Paris CDG Airport. The three terminals are connected by free shuttle buses and handle over 200,000 passengers daily, being the second busiest passenger airport in Europe after London Heathrow.
Terminal 1 handles international flights and is the terminal used by the members of oneworld, an airline alliance which RJ will be joining as a fully fledged member in the second half of 2006. This is one of the main reasons that induced RJ to use Charles de Gaulle Airport, thus providing high-quality services to the passengers, on par with the services offered by other oneworld members. Royal Jordanian will thus be able to present more flexibility and better advantages to its passengers.
Terminal 2, handles Air France and other airlines flying to European destinations, and third Terminal (T9) handles charter flights exclusively.
Royal Jordanian has been servicing Paris since 1966; it operates five weekly flights using its new Airbus 320 aircraft.
