Gulf Air, new cargo head

Gulf Air has appointed Des Vertannes as head of its cargo operations. Vertannes been in the cargo and air freight business for 35 years, having previously worked for British Airways, Air Canada and Menzies Aviation. He is to develop a cargo plan in accordance with the airline's recently announced two-hub strategy.
