The Hotel Show applauds excellence in industry awards

The awards ceremony, which is due to take place at the prestigious Jumeirah Beach Hotel on May 3rd, has attracted entries from more than 200 four and five-star hotels from around the region. An independent panel of international judges will short-list those nominated for each category and the winners will be announced during the awards' gala dinner. With 15 award categories, competition will be intense, especially for best new hotel, best hotel design project and for the ultimate accolade, 'The Middle East Hotel Of The Year'.

The Hotel Show, which is due to take place from June 4-6 2006, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, showcases the very latest equipment, technology and service innovations for the hospitality industry. Maggie Moore, Project Manager, The Hotel Show, confirmed, "The DEPA Awards, like The Hotel Show, has grown in stature over the past five years and now not only provides industry benchmarks, but clearly acts as a catalyst for further growth and development. We felt there was a great deal of synergy between the two events and as such we wanted to show our support for the DEPA Awards".

DEPA is a Dubai-based interior contracting company, which specialises in full scope fit-out and furnishing of five star luxury hotels. Mohannad Sweid, Chief Executive Officer, commented, "The support of The Hotel Show adds great value and credibility to these important industry awards. Sweid also confirmed DEPA's participation at The Hotel Show this year.
