Sheikh Ahmed receives the Dutch Transport Minister

During her official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Karla Peijs, Dutch Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and European Minister (PPE) along with a delegation of Dutch businessmen visited the Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai (DCA).

The Minster was received by HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation Dubai and Chairman of Emirates Group along with the Dubai Civil Aviation Executive Board members. During the visit the delegation was given a presentation on Dubai International Airport Expansion plans by Mrs. Anita Mehra Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications, DCA and was greatly impressed by huge investments done by the Government of Dubai towards developing the Aviation sector.

Whilst in Dubai, Karla Peijs has been in discussions to learn more about the Emirate and to initiate closer business ties with Holland, as well as to learn more about the challenges and initiatives that Dubai has overcome to meet the vision laid down for the economy. She has met with several dignitaries, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defence Minister.
