AGMC sponsors Spanish dance troupe's UAE debut

AGMC, the exclusive importer for BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, is sponsoring three Dubai performances of the world famous Ballet Carmen Cantero, next month, in a five figure sponsorship deal.

Billed as BMW 3 Series presents Ballet Carmen Cantero the performances will take place at Madinat Theatre, Souk Madinat Jumeirah from March from March 28th-30th 2006.

"BMW brand core values are represented by Flamenco, which is dynamic and joyful and characterized by refined features and precise movement. All of our cars are masterpieces, just as Flamenco is a masterpiece of dance," said Stathis I Stathis, General Manager, AGMC.

"Carmen Cantero is dedicated to rejuvenating the 'Spanish Dance' heritage. This is a sentiment which AGMC identifies with, immersed as we are in the great heritage of our three brands, BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce. The legacy of each is unique, and an integral aspect of the brands."

AGMC, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has been BMW Group's exclusive importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates since its inauguration in 1976 in Sharjah. Since then, AGMC has built a rapidly expanding market for BMW Group vehicles. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of AGMC's iconic Sheikh Zayed Road showroom.

Carmen Cantero is considered to be one of Spain's foremost choreographers. From an early age, she has devoted her life to studying, practicing and spreading the spirit of Spanish folklore and dance.

Ballet Carmen Cantero was created in 1997 to rejuvenate and promote Spanish customs, traditions and the various styles that have fused to become 'Spanish Dance'. Cantero's dance troupe is in great demand at Folklore Festivals around the world and has represented Spain at numerous political and cultural events.
