Over the last two years, KV has developed into the premier international destination for students in the Middle East. Regional campuses of 15 prominent international universities representing nine different countries are today based in KV. 6000 students from 55 different nationalities can avail of undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and PhD programmes as well as numerous training courses in fields ranging from IT to film technology. 45% of the student population are in post graduate programs.
"We were delighted to build ties with the Lebanese student community at Academia Lebanon," said Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, CEO of Dubai Knowledge Village.
"With its wealth of international universities and programmes, KV provides regional students a strong alternative to faraway education destinations like US, Europe and Australia. This year, our primary emphasis is to ensure that the quality of education provided by institutions in KV is on par with that offered in their parent countries. KV's quality offering for regional students is becoming increasingly attractive and we are looking at ways to further boost it,"
he said.
Academia Lebanon provided a forum on education and training for both students and professionals. The convention brings together the stakeholders in the education and training field and facilitates global cooperation between local and international education institutions through showcasing opportunities for student mobility across countries, and for technology transfer across continents.
