Yanmar Marine International offers an excellent marine leisure range that covers sailing and power boating needs from 9HP to 900HP. The range includes inboards, stern-drives and sail drives for every pleasure craft, all the way up to SY-STP series for high performance cruisers and motor yachts. The Yanmar range, a popular choice amongst the world's most respected boat builders, provides less weight, higher torque and better fuel economy than many competitive products along with low emissions and easy servicing.
The new 900 HP 8SY-STP, a market leading engine, is equipped with an electronic engine management system, which monitors data such as engine speed, boost pressure, coolant temperature and throttle setting. Since its launch, FAMCO has already sold the two of these advanced engines to the famous boat builder Dubai Marine in Ajman to power their 68' motor yacht that will be showcased at the Boat Show.
Amongst the other available models, the LY3-ETP with 480 HP, and a startling power-to-weight ratio, is a preferred engine by racers and motor yacht builders. The flat top and narrow profile make and its fuel economy, make LY3 a common choice for replacing petrol engines.
The CX model, also on display at the Boat Show, comes in at 500 HP. This wonderfully light engine secures the extra horse power from a long stroke turbocharged design. It has four valves per cylinder and extra high pressure fuel injection. This all adds up to great fuel efficiency and a very high performance indeed.
An added attraction at the FAMCO enclosure at the Boat Show this year is new 6HYM-ETE engine. The brilliant new high power engine is built to cater to a wide range of needs, from fast fishing boats, to patrol boats, fast ferries and pleasure boats. This large capacity 6 cylinder in-line engine delivers 700 HP at 2200 RPM and features a stronger engine block and cylinder head. The engine is light weight, compact and produces low NOX levels thereby complying with emission regulations.
