The meeting discussed the preparations for the visit of the Austrian President to the UAE on 21st of this month.
Al Mutaiwee welcomed Ambassador; he discussed the trade bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways of enhancing and strengthening them in all the sectors.
Abdurrahman Al-Mutaiwee, Director General of DCCI, also received, H.E Mitiya Drobnic, Slovenian Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the meeting, the trade and economic relations were discussed.
The Slovenian Ambassador pinned big hopes on this visit, as it constitutes a significant step in the way towards widening, enhancing and developing the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates in general and Dubai in particular.
There is increasing interest from the Slovenian business community to enter into investment enterprises in Dubai, according to the Slovenian Ambassador.
Al-Mutaiwee expressed the Chamber's readiness to push the broadening, enhancing and developing of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and motivated his Slovenian guest to open a Slovenian Trade Center, as a preliminary step for greater trade and economic representation.
In addition, the Slovenian organizations, Al-Mutaiwee stressed, should participate in the international exhibitions launched annually in Dubai.
Dubai's non-oil foreign trade with Slovenia was AED88.7 million for the year 2004, re-exports to Slovenia were AED5.5 million, exports were to Slovenia were AED2.3 million, while Dubai's imports from Slovenia were AED73.7 million.
DCCI receives Austrian and Slovenian Ambassadors
Abdulrahman G. Al Mutaiwee, Director General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received the Austrian Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Gerald Kriechbaum and Wolfgang Aschenwald Director of Raiffeisen Landesbank in attendance of Sultan Majid Lootah the Acting Director of Business Promotion Department.
