WETEX 2006 ends successfully: H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director & CEO of DEWA tours WETEX stalls

H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) today toured the exhibition stalls of WETEX 2006 on the closing day of the show and said DEWA is confident that the show will be hosted every year to highlight new technologies in the water, electricity and energy sectors.

H.E Al Tayer said WETEX 2006 had major participation from leading global and local companies. During the tour, His Excellency interacted with the exhibitors who briefed him on products and services on display at the exhibition.

Active Three Days at WETEX 2006: Specialists Visit Stalls


On the third day of WETEX 2006, the exhibition witnessed dynamic activities across the three halls with experts from water, energy and electricity sectors, officials from government departments visiting the stalls.

WETEX 2006 was also a platform for technical sessions which attracted visitors and experts. On the closing day there were nine technical sessions while during the last three days 26 sessions were held parallel to the exhibition.

WETEX 2006 Sponsors, Participants Honoured


DEWA held a gala dinner on the eve of the closing day of WETEX 2006 to honour the main sponsors, co-sponsors and participants in the eighth edition of WETEX. The dinner was attended by H.E. Al Tayer, government officials and many VIPs.

Mr. Abdulla Al Hajri, Corporate Communication Manager, DEWA welcomed the participants and thanked them and said one of the goals of the exhibition was to bring latest technology to Dubai and the region and to nurture cooperation between manufacturing and user groups.
